RE: Baseball Equipment Collection
Pitch in for Baseball/Softball
Dear RBC families,
The Ridge Baseball Club is collecting new and gently used baseball equipment for a non-profit organization called Pitch in for Baseball. This amazing Pennsylvania based charity has been collecting and delivering baseball equipment to needy communities in the United States and all over the world. To date, our town has contributed in excess of 12,000 pieces of equipment! Your generous donations have helped rebuild entire baseball programs in towns devastated by hurricanes Sandy & Katrina. Thank you to all of those who have donated in the past and we sincerely hope that you will consider contributing in the future. To learn more about the great work of PIFB and to see where else they are helping, please visit their website; www.Pitchinforbaseball.com.
Large blue collection bins are stationed year round at the RBC baseball complex on Valley Road. These containers can be found next to the maintenance house on field #1. These bins are clearly labeled for the collection of gloves, bats, cleats and other baseball related equipment. Please look through your basements and garages for any slightly used items that can be donated. In addition to the items mentioned here, PIFB will gladly accept uniforms that have been washed; batting helmets, bat bags or anything else baseball related that is in decent condition.
Please continue to help us support this great organization. If you would like additional information on this collection endeavor or if you wish to assist in the collection process; please feel free to contact any of the RBC board of directors.
Thank you & have a fun season!
